Streambred Brown on Tionesta TributaryInstruction will take place on  the beautiful streams and rivers of the Allegheny National Forest in Northwest Pennsylvania.  The city of Warren serves as the base for operations and is a full service community.

Fly fishing schools  will normally begin in the classroom and end with casting on a lawn or  small pond.  Guided on-stream instruction for trout will take place on Tionesta Creek or one of it's numerous tributaries  in the heart of the Allegheny National Forest.

If you would prefer to sponsor a school, or take a private lesson near your home contact the fly fishing coach to discuss arrangements.  The Allegheny River and Conewango Creek offer great laboratories for learning advanced skills for trophy fish such as trout, smallmouth bass, pike, and musky.

"Fly fishing is a lifetime adventure. Once hooked you find it is more about the journey than it is about the prize.  Fly fishing is not something that can be learned in one lesson, a day, or even a week long school.  It's a lifetime of learning and being in the Creator's landscape.  Fly fishing takes place in some of the most beautiful  environments on earth. Even after 40 years I'm still learning new fishing techniques and  expanding my understanding of the environment. I still get excited about applying them in old and new waters all across the country.  Next to fly fishing I enjoy teaching and sharing my knowledge with others. Come join me!"

Interested in becoming a better teacher and coach?  I can provide you or your club with time tested tools and techniques for teaching and coaching fly casting as well as other aspects of fly fishing.  Consider sponsoring a teachers workshop before your next fly fishing school or event.

If you like to teach and want to learn more consider becoming a certified instructor through the program sponsored by the Federation of Fly Fishers.  The certification is focused on producing quality instructors not just "casters"!  Check it out online at www.fedflyfishers.org.
